This assessment takes 5 minutes per student and monitored as well as implemented by certified and trained staff members. Dakota & Ojibwe Oral Language Assessments are given to grades K-8 and administered in fall and spring by language teachers and under in constant revision. This assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and is given to assess speaking and listening skills in the target language. Results are given to teachers and families as well as being used to evaluate teaching and learning progress. Language teachers have been trained on to administer oral assessments from various people and organizations.
Dakota & Ojibwe Reading Assessments are given to grades K-8 in the fall and spring by language teachers and are currently still being worked on for validity and prosody. This assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and is given to assess target language reading comprehension. Results are given to teachers and families as well as being used to evaluate teaching and learning progress.

These assessments are based on the Moving With Math Curriculum by Math Teachers Press Inc. This assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and is given to assess math comprehension using their target language. Currently these assessments are underdevelopment for validity and prosody purposes. Results are reported at conferences and are used to evaluate teaching and learning progress using worksheet and curriculum during daily school schedule.

Language teachers have been trained to administer assessments from various people and organizations such as: Wilder Foundation, Midwest Indigenous Immersion Network (MIIN), Cante Maza - Dakota Language Professors at the University of Minnesota, Adrian Naabekwa Liberty, Grassroots Indigenous Multimedia, Ojibwemotaadiidaa Omaa Gidakiiminaang (OOG), Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Dakotah Language Institute (SWODLI), and many other people and organizations.
Minnesota Department of Education mandates that MCA science tests are administered for grades 5 - 8 every spring school year. This test takes 30 - 200 minutes and is implemented by a certified and trained staff member. Results are mailed to families in late spring after they are released.
